On October 12, 2017, the Society invited the public to share their stories, photographs, and artifacts related to local World War II history. Over 100 people attended “Brunswick’s Home Front Stories: A Show-and-Tell Event,” held at Old City Hall in Brunswick. Throughout the event, the Society presented some of the stories we’ve already collected and discussed our plans for transforming the Historic Coast Guard Station into a first class museum and educational resource for Glynn County.  The new World War II Museum will open in October 2018.
