Coastal Georgia Historical Society’s charming oceanfront site offers variety, elegance, and natural beauty for weddings and special events. Perfect for ceremonies, receptions, rehearsal dinners, bridesmaids luncheons and more, our venue can accommodate indoor and outdoor events. Find the ideal place for your party — on the lawn beneath the St. Simons Lighthouse, in the event hall at the A.W. Jones Heritage Center, or any of our courtyards. Whether your event is formal or casual, large or small, your guests will remember an enchanted event surrounded by the calm of the ocean and breeze blowing through the magical live oaks’ moss. Unlike other island venues, your event will take place in a historic setting. The St. Simons Lighthouse was originally built in 1872, and offers the best views of the area. The Lighthouse can be opened for your cocktail hour with Museum interpreters available (additional fees will apply).

The Society is proud to offer personal and flexible event planning options. The venue can accommodate parties of up to 200 guests and our team is happy to help coordinate local caterers and vendors familiar with our space and location.
