As part of the second annual Journeys education series, Society members took field trips to Sapelo Island with our Senior Historian, Buddy Sullivan, as expert guide. Two trips were offered in April and included tours of the Long Tabby Complex, the Reynolds Mansion, and the Lighthouse, as well as an opportunity to talk with famed Sapelo resident, Cornelia Bailey. Other activities included a basket weaving demonstration on the first trip and an ecology talk at Nanny Goat Beach on the second trip.
